Jamiee and Hannah!

On the Ride home... 2 hours in the car!!!!!

Jonah is home!!
He is a 6 year old Umbrella Cockatoo.
We went to pick him up on Monday, and the last 2 days have just been him getting used to new surrondings and new routine! He is still getting used to be "out and about" as he was used to being in his cage most of the time at his last home! He is very sweet and cuddly, he just still has a hard time wanting to step up to my hand and come out easily... lol. It will take some time, and soon enough hopefully he will be totally social and want to be around everyone all the time!! He does so many funny things~ when he gets excited he does a little dance with push ups, and puts his crown way up high and laughs out LOUD! He says Hello and Hi and will let out the occasional "cockatoo scream"
Hannah is loving having him here, she just laughs and dances around his cage to get him all hyper! The dogs are doing great too, they just sniff around and when he is out with us they come up and say hi, then leave him alone for the most part!
He is pretty timid with new people, but I feel like he is already getting better, My sister came over last night and he went on her arm and eventually rolled over and cuddled on her chest. She was so excited, (and freaked out at the same time I think! ;))
He is used to eating mainly just seeds as his diet, so I am trying to add lots of different fruits, veggies, and organic pellets, which is the best healthy diet for these guys, the better they eat, the better they feel, therefore the better behaved they are! So its gonna be a process to get everything going and get everyone into the new routine!! Here are some cute pics of our new boy!
