So last week... Hannah received the "Super Citzen"Award at the Town Meeting (aka, school assembly) She was so excited, she was called up in front of the whole school to get it! She said... but MOM... they said my last name wrong!! LOL... that ALWAYS happens... it's just funny hearing her say it for the first time ;) I was unable to go (sad face) because we only had 2 days notice, and I was already booked, but Mimi was able to go, and Daddy came too!

Last month when we first cut Hannah's hair shorter... she asked how often she can get it cut, because it wasnt short enough for her apparently. I told her about once a month is good, so she asked the date, and lieterally would ask each week if it was the 30th of the month yet... So we finally went into the salon today, not only to give her a cut, but our friend Maddyn as well! Brck even got a little trim! It was a fun afternoon with Alisen and the kids, as always! Both the girls got CUUUUTE bob haircuts! Hannah looks SO different with her hair like this... but I think she looks absolutly BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Here are a few pics

HeLLLLoooo 2011

Sooo... once again, call me SLACKER...

Its kinda funny, because I read my friends blogs nightly, yet I dont have the "time" to blog on ours... Well here it is... the latest happenings in our lives...

First off HAPPY 2011... I myself am SUPER excited about this year.. lots of big things going on! First off... we have FOUR fun dates... 1.1.11, 1.11.11 (and I KNOW a baby born this day!), 11.1.11, and 1.11.11.. How fun is that!!?

This is also the year of the BIG 3-0 for yours truly! I have been looking forward to my 30's for awhile... I think its gonna be the greatest decade yet~ My 20's were a little rough... aside from having my little sweetums of course... So 30-- I'm READY for you!!!

Next... my parents will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary... AMAZING... We are so so soo happy and proud to say they are still happy and in love after all this time!! We are going on a Alaskan Cruise this summer to celebrate with the family! We are all SOOO excited!!!!!!!!!

Also... remember that wedding in September?? The Jergensons!? Well, you guessed it... A BABY is coming their way.. and due within a week of their wedding anniversary! SO very exciting for their little family! Yay for babies... Hannah and I think its a girl!

Well that is the BIG news for the year SO FAR!!!

A few other fun things... My friend Craig is moving here in 2 weeks!!! HORRAY! I have been telling him to come for over a year... and he finally is doing it! Can't WAIT! No we just need to find him a job! :)

CEE Ice Skating Night.... Hannah's school had an open skate night for families... It was her FIRST time Ice Skating, and it was harder than she expected! She held on tight to me the whole time! She was doing alot better after awhile tho!!!! Daddy and miss Rebekah came too! Rebekah was quite the pro!

My latest crafting project... I was inspired by a clients SUPER cute hat, and I tried to make one at home.. and couldnt stop! Now I have a few at the salon for sale :)

Happy birthday Robbie... He had a SUPER fun party this year... A murder mystery dinner! I was a young hot tennis instructor who all the men loved.. hahaha. I was NOT the killer tho! After dinner we played "Just Dance" Here is Robbie and I dancing to Proud Mary... and I am now addicted to this game... GOOD workout :)

Here is my little BEAUTY right before her school Holiday Concert! Kindergarten had to wear ALL white... that was FUN trying to find in the middle of winter! ;)

In the beginning of December, Hannah's school did a "Wax museum" Her class was Community workers... and she was a Veterinarian! SO cute!

And that's what we have been up to :)

Im gonna TRY to be better...

I know, I know... I say that ALL the time! :)

Last night, my mom and I got out my HUGE collection of barbie and clothes, accessories, ect.... and I think Hannah's jaw dropped... I had sooo many barbies (many of which were ruined from the heat and from being stored for 18+years) but lots of them are still just as I had them dressed so many years ago...
So we brought them home to add to her already HUGE collection.. and she is in HEAVEN. Its sooo cute. Tonight she asked me to come in and tell me who was married to who, and who the babies and kids belonged to.. and of course I knew, because we seem to "play" barbies the same way.. It was so fun going thru everything, and seeing some of the outfits they had on, and remembering.... "ohh this was my FAVORITE" and "I LOVED this barbies hair".. ect. Sometimes I wish I could have Jamie over and we were 10 again, and we could do all of our fun barbie adventures again...
some of my favorites would include...
-filling up the barbie pool in the bathroom, and trying to carry it back into my room, only to fail, and completely SOAK the carpet... ahhahah!
-everytime it would rain, we would go "to the lake" with our barbies, and use the boat cover as our lake since the rain made it have "pools" in the areas that hung down.
-everytime we saw a new movie, or a saved by the bell episode, we would go and re-inact in with our barbies... :)

Ahhh.. the life of kids.

Monday...ohhh what a DAY...

Let's start with the good part of the day... We got our pumpkins carved! They turned out pretty cute.. of course Hannah was interested in helping for about 9 seconds, so I ended up doing most of the work while she played around outside... It was pretty much the most perfect weather EVER today.. so doing anything outside for us is good...

Then there was the REST of the day... it started out good, Hannah off to school, then I can home to do my rollerblading and Zumba... then off to Wal-Mart... and I reallllly realllly DONT like Wal-Mart. Every time I go, I have some sort of bad experience.. my mom can vouge for me there, she is usally with me, and she finds it quite funny. Anyways, so I went, and I was SUPER hungry, and I remember there being a Subway inside, so I walk inside, and I dont see a Subway... so i figured I would shop, then get food. Fine.. So I got all the stuff I needed, and as I walked out.. Subway.. was RIGHT THERE.. I totally missed it. UGH. So I got my lunch, then go out to leave, and I couldnt find my car.. ANYWHERE! I walked around with a cart FULL of stuff.. for it seemed like 30 minutes, but probably more like 10 minutes, I walked every isle, several times, and I was clicking my button to make it honk.. and I heard nothing. I was convinced it was stolen, of course at Wal-Mart... because I HATE Wal-Mart.... well, I found my car.. I dont know how I missed it. Oh well. I felt Dumb.
So then, I get home, and was cleaning the kitchen.. Then the garbage disposal just shut OFF.. wouldnt do anything... nothing was clogged, or lodged in there... so I called my mom.. seeing if she had any solutions, and DUHH there is a reset Button. How did I not know this?? Anyways. Mom to the rescue.
So later.. I went to the store to get stamps and mail something, and as I'm backing out of my parking spot, heading to get Hannah at school, I hear CRASHHHH. Some lady ran into to back of my car as I was backing out. PERFECT. Of course she thinks it was MY fault.. and I think it was HERS! I looked... like I ALWAYS look, I am an pretty caucious driver, but somehow we both missed eachother. BOOOO. My poor car. I was so frustrated. So Tomorrow Im off to get the estimate, and see the damages. Im sure we will both just go thru our own insurance companies since it was kinda a "both at fault" kinda deal. Who knows. Im sure I will find out soon enough.
Then after our FUN pumpkin carving stuff, I came inside to get dinner ready to put on the grill... and guess what!?? The grill WONT ignite. UGHHHH.. what else did I need today! So I called good Ol' Dad... and he had a simple fix.. a new battary for the igniter. Of course.. why didnt I think of that??? Oh well, Dad to the rescue on that one!!! :)
Dinner was good tho.. and the rest of the night was smooth sailing. As I am sitting here typing this, I am watching a very sad story on Oprah, and it makes me think... my day of mis-haps really arent so bad... So now that I vented all that, I feel a little better, and at the sametime I am very THANKFUL for the GOOD things in my life. Health Happiness Family and Friends...

ten years..

I still can't believe it has been 10 years since I graduated. So many things have happened since then, and I am happy to say, that I am proud of the person I have become thru everything!
Last weekend was my 10 year High School Reunion for Corona del Sol. I was on the fence for awhile about going, and after MUCH convincing, I went. Lindsay, Jen and I planned a fun night, we went to dinner before the reunion, had a few cocktails and shared some laughs, as we usually do when we are together. Then we headed to Dos Gringos...not the best location for a reunion in my opinion... but when we walked in, it felt like high school all over again. It was really cool to see some people that I had not seen in sooo long, and just seeing how many people had changed ALOT, others, not so much.
All in all, the night was an interesting one, we stayed about 2 hours, then the 3 of us went over to Zipps to finish the night out. :)

...Fall Break...

I think its time for a BREAK.... Hannah is SO worn down from the adjustment to Kindergarten, that the last 3 days she had slept till 9:30 or 10!

This week will be a great break and we have some things planned, but alot of the time we will spend at home... relaxing! :)

Today we are going to make some Halloween cookies, and decorate them... im sure they will have TONS of sprinkles ;) Then make a yummy dinner and be home!

Tomorrow we are going to the zoo with some of our BFFs... pictures will be posted when we get home! Then I have craft night with some of my favorite girlies... <3

and Wednesday a playdate and picnic in the park!

Thursday and Friday she gets to spend time with Mimi while I work!

Miss Melis...

I think I should devote a post to this cute little lady.... She is an AMAZING artist.. and Everything I see that she has done makes me want more body art! hehe!
The Peace tattoo is my NEWEST little beauty... I have been wanting this for AWHILE now, and I am thankful that my bestie Jamie, and her Hubby John gave me money towards it for my 29th birthday! I had it done a couple weeks ago, and it is better that I could have imagined.. as USUAL!
The paisly design on my other foot, was my FIRST tattoo, about 3 years ago! It was inspired by Henna artwork, because I LOVE LOVE how intricate and detailed they are, so Melis took a sharpie marker, and went to town.. she did it all free hand by looking at the pictures I brought in for reference, pretty awesome if you ask me! I also added Hannahs name to this Tattoo... since she is the MOST important little thing in my life! <3

Meet Dottie. She was my 2nd tattoo. I love pinup girls, and so this little lady was designed from about 5 different pinups that I liked, and Melis brought all the things together that I liked from each one, hair, face, outfit, body, ect.... Then we put in some vintage hairstyling tools!

Here is the back piece all finished.. Blue bells and hydrangias. Both are some of my FAVORITE flowers and she did a great job making them look so realistic!

When she was doing my Peace tattoo a few weeks ago, she gave me some GREAT ideas that she wants to do to add to my back.. and I am SOOO excited to see what she will do with that! Hopefully in the next 6 months I can add on to it :)
